About Zazen Meditation Timer

Zazen Meditation Timer lets users create meditation sessions from multiple timed sections, such as sitting, walking, or other practices. Each section can have its own bell behavior: users choose the sound, number of rings, interval, and volume. Eight bell recordings are included, and custom audio files can be imported for use as bell tones. Sections can be reordered by dragging or removed with a swipe. An animated arc shows progress through the current section, with elapsed and remaining time. Tapping the display cycles among section and full-session elapsed or remaining views. The timer can continue as a foreground service while the screen is locked or while the user switches to another app, and a persistent notification provides pause and resume controls. The screen can optionally remain on during a session, with adjustable brightness. Zazen Meditation Timer includes light, dark, and system themes with dynamic coloring. It requests exact-alarm and notification permissions for precise bell timing and its foreground service, and storage access is needed to import custom bell audio. The app is designed for people who want structured practice sessions with configurable transitions and sounds, rather than a single countdown timer.
