About AddisMapTransit
AddisMapTransit is a trip planner for public transport in Addis Ababa. It supports routes using buses, minibuses, and light rail, and can offer alternative journeys. Users can search for streets, intersections, and points of interest, save frequently used searches, and store locations such as home or work. GPS can show the user’s position on the map, and the app can also display driving routes. The app is designed for door-to-door navigation and supports multiple languages, with Amharic described as partially translated. The record notes that full coverage for the listed transport modes was still in progress, so route availability may vary. Its features combine transit planning with place search and saved locations, helping users move between addresses using the available local transport information.
