About Android IP Camera
Android IP Camera turns an Android phone into a network camera that provides H.264 and MJPEG video streams. Its built-in server makes the stream available to a browser or video application, and the camera can be controlled through a remote web interface. Users can switch between the main and selfie cameras, adjust rotation, resolution, zoom, exposure, contrast, and flash, and start video recording. The interface also includes controls for synchronizing audio and video. Image quality and frame rate can be selected to suit the device and use case. The screen can be turned off while streaming, and the server can optionally start when the phone boots. Username and password protection are available, with automatic TLS certificates to secure the stream and login over HTTPS. These controls make the app suitable for using a spare phone as a remotely adjustable camera or as a video source for compatible monitoring software. Continuous streaming and high image quality can heat a phone, and the product information cautions that prolonged operation and charging may affect battery condition. Device behavior and available camera controls can vary by handset.
