About Atrium

Atrium is an Android control panel for self-hosted media and server services. It connects to servers that users already run and lets them browse and manage those services from a phone; it is not a media player and does not stream video. The app supports media libraries and playback servers, music libraries, subtitle and request tools, torrent and Usenet clients, download queues, system monitors, speed-test history, VPN and DNS controls, and server administration. For example, users can browse libraries, inspect active streams, manage transfers, check host resources, review DNS queries, or control containers and virtual machines on supported systems. Multiple profiles let one phone hold more than one service setup. Each instance can have local and external addresses, and Atrium selects the appropriate one based on the current network. Profiles can be imported or exported, and custom HTTP headers can be set for a profile or for an individual service instance. The dashboard is built from reorderable widgets that can show downloads, active streams, upcoming releases, requests, system health, speed-test results, VPN and DNS status, and Wake-on-LAN controls. Atrium is designed to communicate directly with the services users configure. The product description states that it has no account, analytics, telemetry, or advertising, and that credentials are stored in encrypted device storage. Artwork is normally loaded from the user’s servers, but when searching for an item those servers have never seen, its poster is fetched directly from an artwork service, which then receives the device’s address. That is a specific exception to the app’s otherwise direct-to-configured-server design. Atrium’s Material 3 interface supports dynamic colors, custom palettes, light and dark themes, and an optional biometric lock. The service list covers several parts of a self-hosted setup: media organization and playback, requests and subtitles, download clients, system health, server control, DNS filtering, and VPN status. Atrium can show per-torrent files, peers, and trackers, inspect media-stream history and statistics, control a download queue, and display CPU, memory, GPU, or disk use. These functions are surfaced through one phone interface while the underlying services remain on the user’s own machines. Its service integrations are the core of the product; users need to configure compatible servers for the controls and dashboard data to be available.
