About BluePass
BluePass extracts two-factor authentication codes from selected SMS messages and sends them over Bluetooth RFCOMM to a paired computer. Users configure matching rules for message senders and contents; a code is forwarded only when the message matches those rules. A companion program on the computer receives the code and makes it available through the system clipboard. The app can test message-matching rules before use, retry a Bluetooth connection for a period after extracting a code, and report status through a notification. Codes can also be copied on the phone using a “Copy last” control. If a code is needed on the phone itself, it remains available there. BluePass requires Bluetooth pairing with a computer adapter and access to incoming SMS messages. It is intended to reduce manual transfer of SMS-based authentication codes from phone to computer. Because these are authentication codes, the configured sender and message filters determine which codes are transferred.
