About Crazyflie Client

Crazyflie Client controls compatible Crazyflie quadcopters from an Android device. It can connect to the original Crazyflie and the 2.x model through a USB Crazyradio dongle and USB OTG, while Bluetooth Low Energy control is available for the 2.x model. Users can steer with touch controls, a connected gamepad, or the device’s gyroscope, and adjust the control mode, sensitivity, and gamepad button mapping. For the 2.x model, the app can control an optional LED ring deck and play a melody through an optional buzzer deck. It also includes an experimental firmware update function using Crazyradio. Firmware files are selected and flashed through the app’s bootloader workflow; the instructions distinguish between the original and 2.x models. The app requires Android 4.4 or later and either a compatible Crazyradio setup or Bluetooth LE 4.0 hardware. Bluetooth is supported only for Crazyflie 2.x, and the product description warns not to pair the aircraft through Android’s Bluetooth settings. Some accessories require optional hardware decks. Firmware updating is identified as experimental, so its availability and procedure depend on the correct drone model and connection method.
