About DNS Resolver

DNS Resolver is an Android tool for resolving domain names, blocking selected domains, and monitoring DNS activity. It can operate as a device-wide local VPN sinkhole or as a local UDP DNS server on the loopback address for selected apps or routers. Upstream resolution can use DNS over HTTPS, DNS over TLS, or plain UDP. Users can combine built-in and custom blocklists, pause blocking temporarily, and configure per-app split tunneling. A live dashboard and query log show DNS activity, while per-domain rules provide controls for specific domains. A Quick Settings tile and home screen widget make it possible to toggle protection without opening the full app. The app can import OpenVPN or WireGuard profiles for management alongside its resolver, but the supplied description says tunneling through those profiles is not yet implemented. DNS Resolver has no ads, analytics, or tracking. Its core role is local DNS handling, filtering, and activity visibility on Android.
