About dreamDroid
dreamDroid is a control and streaming client for compatible Enigma2-based Dreambox receivers. It supports multiple connection profiles, so users can manage more than one receiver. The app shows what is currently playing, browses channels and electronic program guides, searches schedules, and lets users create or manage recording timers from the guide or manually. Users can browse recorded movies, stream channels or recordings through the built-in or another compatible video player, send messages, and use either of two virtual remote controls. A signal meter with audio feedback can help check reception or adjust a dish. The app can also capture and save a screenshot, set a shutdown timer, and switch between dark and light themes. dreamDroid is intended for a compatible receiver and network setup. The supplied information lists specific supported Dreambox models and warns that compatibility with OpenWebIf is incomplete. Streaming is marked beta, and playback depends on a compatible Android video player.
