About Droid Pad
Droid Pad lets users build custom control interfaces on an Android device and connect them to external systems. A drag-and-drop editor provides buttons, sliders, and switches that can be arranged into a control pad. The same pad can use different connection types without needing a separate copy for each one. For WebSocket, MQTT, TCP, UDP, and Bluetooth connections, the app acts as a client communicating with a server or device. For Bluetooth Low Energy, it acts as a peripheral and exposes a GATT server, sending notifications when buttons are pressed or slider and switch values change. Scripts can also update the state of switches, sliders, LEDs, and gauges, allowing the interface to reflect external activity. Droid Pad is suited to custom remote controls, prototypes, and interfaces for connected devices. It requires a compatible endpoint or BLE client on the receiving side, and the behavior depends on how that system interprets the control messages. The supplied description details interface components and protocols but does not provide ready-made device integrations.
