About Droid_SCEP

Droid_SCEP is a certificate-management app for working with SCEP servers. It can request and poll certificates and monitor their expiration. The app can be configured through mobile-device management policies, which can supply connection details and define how certificates are enrolled or selected for other apps. When the required delegated permissions and management configuration are present, the app can silently enroll and renew certificates. It can also act as a certificate-selection provider, mapping certificates to apps according to rules defined by the device administrator. Users can receive a notification a few days before a personal certificate expires. Additional tools allow manual creation of a certificate signing request and conversion from PEM to PKCS12 format. Droid_SCEP is intended for managed Android environments and users who need to enroll, renew, or monitor certificates. Automated enrollment and app-specific certificate selection depend on administrator configuration and delegated permissions; they are not described as available without that setup. The manual certificate and format-conversion tools provide separate workflows for users handling certificates directly.
