SOFTWARE OVERVIEW

Entangle

Entangle is a Linux application for tethered camera control and image capture.

About Entangle

Entangle is a Linux application for tethered camera control and image capture. It connects a camera to a computer so the user can work with the camera from the desktop. The application includes a session browser for viewing captured media, and its interface can show thumbnails while files are being loaded. Entangle supports connecting to a network camera by entering its IP address and can locate cameras exposed through the system’s camera interface. It also includes an example plugin for bracketing photographs, a technique that captures multiple exposures of the same scene. These capabilities make it useful for photographers who want to control a connected camera and manage a capture session from a computer. The software requires GTK and is designed for Linux desktop use. Its focus is camera connection, capture, and session browsing rather than general photo editing. Users can work with connected cameras and review the resulting media within the tethered-capture workflow.
