About Find Family
Find Family is an internet-connected location-sharing app for family and friends. People can choose specific contacts with whom to share their location and temporarily turn sharing on or off. Shared places can trigger notifications when someone enters or leaves an area. The app can also display battery status, current speed, and how long a person has remained at a location. Location data is described as end-to-end encrypted, and the app does not require email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal information for accounts. A Quick Settings tile lets a user stop sharing immediately. Ultra-wideband precision ranging is available on devices with compatible hardware. Find Family is intended for sharing location with chosen people and managing when that sharing is active. It requires an internet connection, and precision ranging depends on device hardware.
