About FreedomBox
FreedomBox is a companion app for finding and accessing a FreedomBox server. It can discover servers on the local network, show the services installed on a selected server, and launch the corresponding Android apps or web applications. Users can save a server and connect to it from another location, making the mobile app useful as a directory and access point for services hosted on their own FreedomBox. The app’s role is to help users find their server and open its available services rather than provide those services itself. Credential storage and automatic login are listed as planned features, so the described version requires users to handle authentication separately. The central workflow is selecting a server, reviewing its installed services, and opening the relevant service on the phone.
