About Fwknop2
Fwknop2 sends Single Packet Authorization (SPA) packets to a fwknopd server. The server can use an authenticated packet to open a port on a Linux machine or compatible router, allowing a subsequent connection through that port. The app can also launch an SSH client after the port is opened. Keys can be imported by scanning a QR code. This connects key setup with the packet-sending workflow, allowing the client to authenticate to the configured server before starting an SSH connection. Fwknop2 is a client for an existing fwknopd service, not a firewall or server itself. Its use depends on the remote machine or router being configured to accept the packet and the client having the corresponding key material.
