About HACS
HACS is a mobile control app for keyholders of a shared workspace. It displays the current state of the space’s doors and lets authorized users send door-control commands. The app receives status information through an MQTT service and sends commands to the door system over SSH. HACS is designed for managing access to a particular hackspace rather than as a general smart-lock app. Its operation depends on the workspace’s MQTT and SSH services and the permissions configured for its keyholders. The interface gives a keyholder a way to check door status and issue commands from a phone. It keeps current door status and available commands accessible to keyholders from a phone.
