About Knock on Ports
Knock on Ports is an Android client for configuring and running port-knocking sequences. Port knocking sends a chosen sequence of network packets to a firewall-protected service; the configured service can then grant access after it recognizes the sequence. The app supports UDP, TCP, and ICMP packets over IPv4 and IPv6, with controls for destination ports, packet delays, TTL, Hop Limit, and payload data. After a successful sequence, the app can launch another application or open a URL. A custom URI scheme allows other tools to trigger configured sequences, while home-screen shortcuts and a widget provide quick access. Users can export and import sequence configurations for backup or transfer. Knock on Ports is a network administration utility for users who have a port-knocking setup to access. The app provides the client-side packet sequence; the supplied description does not provide firewall configuration or guarantee that a remote service will accept a particular sequence. Themes include dynamic colors on Android 12 and later, custom accents, light and dark modes, and contrast options.
