About KUKSA Companion App
KUKSA Companion App demonstrates how an Android app can connect to a vehicle’s KUKSA Databroker, read vehicle data, and interact with actuators. The broker represents vehicle signals in a structured tree based on the Vehicle Signal Specification, which gives sensor and actuator values consistent names and meanings. Applications can query signals, update current or target values, and receive notifications when selected values change. The companion app illustrates these interactions through examples for controlling doors, temperature, and lights, as well as checking tire pressure. Its purpose is to showcase a vehicle data interface, not to act as a general-purpose remote for any vehicle. It requires a vehicle with an integrated compatible broker and demonstrates how a mobile app can read data and request changes through that connection.
