About MAC Editor

MAC Editor provides controls for changing the Wi-Fi MAC address used by an Android device. It supports a manual MAC override and can enable Android’s native MAC randomization on compatible hardware, including devices where the manufacturer’s software does not expose that capability directly. A MAC address identifies a network interface on a local network. Adjusting it can be useful for changing how a device presents itself to Wi-Fi networks, including privacy-related configurations or troubleshooting captive portals on devices with limited support. The app is a focused network-configuration module, and available behavior depends on the phone’s hardware and Android implementation. Its purpose is limited to Wi-Fi interface identity and randomization behavior.
