About MateDroid

MateDroid is an Android companion for viewing data from a self-hosted vehicle monitoring system. It presents an overview dashboard with vehicle status, battery, range, charging state, climate, and tire pressures. A three-dimensional vehicle model is colored to match the car’s appearance, and the app’s theme can adapt to that color. The app also organizes driving and charging history. Trips can be viewed on a map with efficiency, elevation, and weather details; charging sessions show location, energy added, costs, and charging curves. Battery health visualizations track degradation over time, while additional statistics summarize usage and charging patterns. Data is synchronized locally, so previously loaded trips and charges can be browsed offline. MateDroid requires a working self-hosted monitoring server and its API. A demo mode provides sample data to explore the interface before connecting a server. The app is intended for vehicle owners who want to review their recorded driving, charging, and battery information from an Android device.
