About MAXS Main
MAXS Main is the core component of MAXS, a modular Android system for receiving notifications and remotely controlling a device over XMPP. MAXS works through a main app, a transport that carries messages, and modules that provide specific functions. The main component coordinates the system, while a transport connects it to the messaging service and modules add actions or information sources. To use MAXS, install at least one transport and one module in addition to MAXS Main. The main app should be launched once before installing the other components so they can be set up correctly. MAXS Main is intended for users who want to assemble a remote-control and notification setup from separate Android components. By itself it does not provide every capability; the selected modules determine what the device can do, and the transport carries requests and responses.
