About MultiVNC

MultiVNC is an Android viewer for connecting to computers that provide VNC remote access. It supports most VNC encodings, including Tight, and can establish encrypted connections through TLS options such as AnonTLS and VeNCrypt. Self-signed certificates are supported. For connections routed through SSH, it accepts password-based or private-key authentication, and it can also connect through UltraVNC Repeaters. Saved connections can be bookmarked, imported, and exported. The app can discover VNC servers that advertise themselves on a local network using ZeroConf, reducing the need to enter connection details manually when discovery is available. During a session, users can interact with the remote desktop using virtual mouse buttons, two-finger swipe gestures, or a touchpad-style mode for local use. Haptic feedback can accompany virtual mouse controls. MultiVNC uses hardware-accelerated OpenGL for drawing and zooming, supports changes to the remote server’s framebuffer size, and can copy and paste between Android and the remote session. These features address both connection setup and on-screen control, including adapting a desktop interface to touch. It is intended for users who need to view and operate a VNC-managed computer from an Android device. The evidence lists connection and display capabilities but does not specify compatibility with every VNC server or network configuration.
