About My Leaf
My Leaf is an Android app for checking information and sending remote commands to a Nissan Leaf. It can request the latest vehicle data and display battery and charging status, as well as the current climate-control state. The app can remotely start or stop climate control, start charging, and retrieve the vehicle’s last known location. These functions let an owner check the car’s current state and perform selected actions without being physically beside it. Battery and charging information support a quick status check, while climate controls can be used to prepare the vehicle remotely. The location feature reports the last known position available from the connected service; the description does not specify live tracking or navigation. My Leaf depends on Nissan’s CarWings service for communication with the vehicle. This external service is required, so the app’s remote functions depend on its availability and the vehicle account or service configuration. The description notes that this dependency is not libre. My Leaf is a third-party alternative interface for Nissan Leaf owners who want battery, charging, climate, and last-location information in one mobile app. It does not communicate directly with the car independently of the vehicle service.
