About Neruppu
Neruppu monitors a physical space using sensors built into an Android device. It can detect motion with the front or rear camera, monitor microphone input and record when a burst of noise occurs, detect movement or vibration with the accelerometer, and notice changes in ambient light. The app can run as a foreground service for continuous monitoring and records detected events locally. Remote alerts through Matrix are optional and can be encrypted. The app does not require cloud storage for its core monitoring, and logs and media remain on the device unless remote alerts are configured. Neruppu combines several sensor-based triggers in one monitoring tool, allowing users to choose which changes should count as security events and whether to receive an alert remotely.
