About Oksigenia SOS
Oksigenia SOS is an Android safety app for sending distress alerts with GPS coordinates by SMS. It includes automatic fall detection, an inactivity timer, live location updates, and a manual SOS option. Fall detection monitors motion, then uses an observation window to check for sustained walking; if movement is detected, the alert can be dismissed, while a lack of rhythmic movement triggers the SOS. Activity profiles adjust detection behavior for different settings such as hiking, running, trail sports, or mountaineering. For activities where the motion sensor cannot reliably interpret falls, automatic fall detection is disabled while the inactivity monitor and manual SOS remain available. The inactivity monitor sends an alert if a user fails to confirm they are okay before a set timer expires. Live tracking can send location by SMS at chosen intervals, and a low-battery alert can send a final position. The app sends location only with an alert or tracking update, through SMS to configured contacts, and does not upload it to a cloud service. It depends on mobile coverage, GPS reception, and battery power. Oksigenia SOS is a support tool and does not replace professional emergency services.
