About OsmAnd~
OsmAnd is a map and navigation app based on OpenStreetMap data, with online and offline use. Users can search for places by address, name, coordinates, or category and choose map styles for activities such as hiking, skiing, boating, and off-road travel. Maps can be layered with other sources, and relief shading and contour lines can add terrain detail. Navigation profiles can be configured for cars, motorcycles, bicycles, off-road vehicles, walking, boats, public transport, and other travel modes. Routes can account for preferred roads, vehicle dimensions, excluded roads, or surface types. Users can plan routes point by point, record GPX tracks, view or navigate imported tracks, and review distance and elevation changes. Favorites, markers, and audio or video notes can be added to places. OsmAnd supports offline route planning and can record tracks without an internet connection, provided the relevant map data is available on the device. It also includes a compass, radius ruler, night theme, and tools for editing OpenStreetMap. Optional map and content features include additional terrain data and offline travel information. The supplied information describes both offline navigation and online map downloads. Map download requests include a unique installation identifier. Some content and services require an internet connection or additional feature access.
