About Outfield
Outfield is a remote control app for OBS, the broadcasting and recording application. It shows an image of the current scene and provides controls for switching scenes, starting a recording, stopping a recording, and starting or stopping a stream. These actions let a user manage a basic live production workflow from a separate device. The scene preview gives a quick visual reference for what is currently selected, while the scene-switching control helps move between prepared layouts during a broadcast. Recording and streaming controls provide direct access to the main capture actions without needing to operate the computer running OBS. Outfield requires the OBS WebSocket plugin to be installed on the host setup. It is a companion control surface for that software, rather than a standalone video recorder or streaming platform.
