About Pearlnode
Pearlnode is an Android app for controlling compatible smart-home devices over local Wi-Fi. It can discover devices automatically through local-network discovery and Bluetooth, or users can add a device by IP address. Supported devices include several generations of smart plugs, switches, dimmers, bulbs, sensors, and other home controls. The app provides per-channel on and off controls with live status, power monitoring for metering devices, RGBW color and brightness controls, and dimmer sliders. A relay pulse can operate door or gate openers. Users can create and manage schedules that repeat on selected days, and can synchronize actions with a phone alarm. Home screen widgets offer single-device controls or multi-device toggles. Pearlnode can check for, download, and upload firmware to a device. Device credentials are encrypted on the phone using Android Keystore. Control traffic stays on the local network, with an optional external connection for firmware update checks. The app requires compatible devices and a local network, but no cloud account.
