About PhoneTrack
PhoneTrack records a device’s location at a chosen frequency and uploads points to a configured server, either in real time or when connectivity returns. Users can set up multiple logging destinations with different rules for frequency, minimum distance, accuracy, and significant movement. Locations can be saved while offline and sent later. Logging can start when the device boots. The app supports the PhoneTrack service on a self-hosted server or any server that accepts HTTP GET or POST requests. It can also display devices from a PhoneTrack session on a map. SMS commands can request the current position, trigger an alarm, start or stop logging jobs, or create a job. A dark theme and multilingual interface are available. PhoneTrack is a continuous location logger, so its behavior depends on the frequency and accuracy settings and the destinations configured by the user. Using the self-hosted service requires a running instance with its PhoneTrack component enabled; custom HTTP destinations can be used instead.
