Remote Video Camera

Remote Video Camera streams audio and video between two Android devices.

About Remote Video Camera

Remote Video Camera streams audio and video between two Android devices. One device can operate in Camera Mode to broadcast its camera and microphone, while the other uses Display Mode to view the stream, with an optional mirror view. The app can be used for two-way audio and video by switching the devices’ roles. The devices discover each other automatically and connect over a local network, Wi-Fi Aware, or Wi-Fi Direct. Internet access and external servers are not required, and the stream remains on the connected devices, according to the app description. The design uses Android’s Material 3 interface. Remote Video Camera is intended for convenient local streaming, such as a simple camera monitor or walkie-talkie. The app explicitly warns that network connections can be unreliable and that it is not a certified safety or medical monitoring device. It should not be relied on as the sole monitor for critical situations.
