About RemotePhone

RemotePhone mirrors and controls an Android phone from a Linux desktop over Wi-Fi. It can display the phone screen at native resolution and send taps, swipes, long presses, scrolling, and system-key actions. Keyboard input lets users type into phone text fields from the desktop, including PIN entry at the lock screen. Audio can also be mirrored, with the phone speaker muted automatically on Android 10 and newer. The app uses hardware H.264 encoding for low-latency video, discovers phones on the network, and reconnects if a connection drops. Remote input can wake the phone screen, and the desktop client includes a dark theme. RemotePhone does not require USB debugging or ADB, but both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network. It uses Android’s accessibility service to dispatch input from the desktop. The product is intended for controlling a phone from a nearby Linux computer while keeping the phone connected wirelessly.
