About Roc Droid
Roc Droid is a work-in-progress Android app for sending and receiving audio with Roc-compatible devices. It can receive a stream from a compatible sender and play it through the phone’s audio output. In the other direction, it can capture sound from an app or the microphone and send it to a compatible receiver. The app provides both playback and transmission roles, depending on the connected device. Its capabilities require another Roc-compatible endpoint, and the project is still under development. Roc Droid is intended for networked audio streaming rather than recording and editing tracks as files. This supports audio routing between a mobile device and other networked endpoints.
