About SafeDot
SafeDot displays a small on-screen indicator when another app or service accesses the device’s camera or microphone. By default, it uses a green dot for camera activity and an orange dot for microphone activity, and the indicator can remain visible on the lock screen. The app also keeps an access log showing when access began, which app was in the foreground, and how long it lasted. SafeDot itself does not request access to the camera or microphone. It uses Android’s Accessibility Service to observe and display access indicators, which users must enable for the feature to work. The log provides a history for reviewing access activity. SafeDot is intended to make camera and microphone use more visible while an app is running, with accessibility access as a required system setting.
