About Saracroche
Saracroche blocks unwanted calls and hides SMS notifications from numbers identified as spam. It can also block anonymous calls, allow calls only from contacts, and apply user-created allow and block lists. Wildcard patterns can cover ranges of numbers, while a history view shows filtered calls. Users can report numbers to contribute to community blocklists and look up information about a phone number. Spam detection runs on-device against a regularly updated database, which is downloaded about once a day. The app uses Android’s call-screening service and must be set as the default caller ID and spam-blocking app. It requires Android 10 or later and is intended for use in France. Saracroche is open source and says it does not collect personal information or call data. It is available in several interface languages.
