About ShutApp

ShutApp lets an Android phone control several computers on the same local network. After adding a computer, users can send commands to shut it down, restart it, put it to sleep, or lock it. Multiple devices can be configured, so the app can act as a single mobile control panel for more than one computer. A separate desktop application is required on each computer. The supplied description identifies Windows and Linux as supported desktop platforms. ShutApp is therefore a remote-control companion rather than a standalone Android tool that can manage computers without software on the target machine. The app is useful for managing computers on a home or work network, such as locking a workstation or putting a machine to sleep without being at its keyboard. The phone and target computer need to be able to communicate on the local network, and the desktop component must be installed and configured. The described controls are limited to power and lock actions; the evidence does not mention remote desktop viewing, file transfer, or command execution.
