About Simple sms remote
Simple sms remote lets a user control selected phone functions by sending SMS commands to the device where the app is installed. The app can respond to commands from approved phone numbers, return results by SMS, and show a persistent notification with receiver status. It can also record a log of received commands and start the receiver automatically after boot. Available modules can report battery level and charging status, check or toggle Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile data, and hotspot, retrieve device coordinates, and adjust audio volume or screen brightness. The display module can also change the screen timeout or turn the display off. A camera module can take a picture using default or selected settings. Multiple commands can be included in one message, and users can choose which modules and sender numbers are enabled. The app relies on SMS rather than mobile internet for receiving commands, but sending replies may require network service. The product description warns that sender-number spoofing could allow someone to impersonate an approved phone number, so the trusted-number list does not provide strong identity verification by itself. Simple sms remote is intended for users who understand this limitation and need text-message control of selected device functions.
