About SimpleRT

SimpleRT shares a computer’s internet connection with an Android device over a USB cable. It provides reverse tethering, allowing the phone to use the computer’s network access rather than relying on its own Wi-Fi or mobile data. Multiple Android devices can be connected into one virtual network. Users can specify which DNS server to use, either a custom server or the system default. SimpleRT is intended for USB-connected setups where a computer can provide internet access to one or more phones. The project is described as still in development, so bugs or errors may occur. This is useful when the phone needs network access through a connected computer.
