About SkyPulse

SkyPulse is an Android receiver for monitoring aircraft that broadcast on 1090 MHz using Mode S and ADS-B. It works with an RTL-SDR radio receiver and decodes aircraft data on the device. Aircraft are displayed on a map, with offline boundary data for flight-information regions and terminal areas. The map uses online map tiles when opened, and updates to boundary data are optional. For unattended use, startup at device boot can be enabled. The app can also provide optional Beast TCP output, which is disabled by default and limited to localhost for other tools running on the same device. SkyPulse requires a compatible SDR receiver and driver. It is intended for enthusiasts who want to receive and inspect nearby aircraft broadcasts on an Android device. The app does not require an account or Google Play Services and includes no advertising or analytics.
