About SoundRemote
SoundRemote connects a Windows computer to an Android phone so computer audio can be heard on the phone. It also lets the phone send remote hotkeys to the computer. For example, a shake can skip to the next track, and playback can be paused from the phone’s lock screen. Users can create and execute custom hotkeys, making the phone a remote control for actions on the computer as well as an audio output device. A companion server must run on the Windows computer for the connection and controls to work. SoundRemote is intended for listening to computer audio through a phone and triggering common computer actions without sitting at the keyboard. Its operation depends on installing and connecting to the computer-side server.
