About SpamBlocker (Call & SMS)
SpamBlocker is a call and SMS filtering app that blocks unwanted calls and messages without replacing the phone’s default call or messaging application. Its rules can use several kinds of information, including contacts and contact groups, number prefixes, repeated calls, dialed or answered numbers, and spam reports. It also lists filters for SMS alerts, message bursts, emergency calls, and entries from a spam database. Additional controls cover time and context, such as schedules, calendar events, meeting mode, off time, location and carrier information, and recent app activity. The app also lists instant queries, regular expressions, STIR/SHAKEN information, and a local AI filter. These options allow filtering to be based on more than a simple blocked-number list, though the supplied description does not explain the exact behavior of each rule or its setup. SpamBlocker is intended for users who want to apply custom rules to incoming calls and texts while keeping their existing default phone apps. The breadth of the listed filters supports different preferences and situations, but successful blocking depends on permissions and rule configuration on the device. The evidence does not specify which features work on each Android version or carrier.
