About SSH Remote
SSH Remote turns an Android phone into a remote control for a computer or home-theater PC. It connects to the target over SSH and sends commands when the user presses configured controls. Buttons can be customized with commands, and the app provides mouse and keyboard controls for interacting with the remote computer. The connection supports SSH keys and certificates, and it verifies the server’s host key. Passwords and private keys are stored in encrypted form. The app has no ads, tracking, or telemetry; its network requests are limited to the SSH connection. The target computer must be running an SSH server and must have a suitable control program installed to interpret the commands. The supplied examples include command-line tools for mouse and keyboard input, but the user can configure other commands. SSH Remote is therefore a customizable remote-control interface whose capabilities depend on the software installed on the computer being controlled.
