About Trains Locations
Trains Locations is a UnifiedNLP location provider that can use location information from supported train Wi-Fi networks. When the phone connects to a supported train’s Wi-Fi, the provider can supply the train’s location to Android’s location system. This can be useful where satellite positioning is weak or unavailable during a journey. The app is a location-data component rather than a map or navigation tool. It depends on a compatible UnifiedNLP setup and a supported train network. The supplied description lists participating rail services in several European countries and a coach service, but coverage is limited to those supported networks. Trains Locations provides train-derived location to other Android services that request it; it does not itself display a route or timetable.
