About Transportr
Transportr is an Android public transport assistant for planning journeys and checking departures across supported regions. Users enter a destination to find connections, see where to change vehicles, and view an estimated arrival time. Nearby stations can be found using the phone’s position, and a map can show stations or the full trip. The app displays upcoming departures for stations and, in some supported areas, real-time delay information. Users can save favorite places and trips so they do not need to enter them again. GPS can track progress along a journey and help users know when to get off. The app uses data from local public transport agencies and brings it together in one interface. Coverage and accuracy depend on the participating transit agencies and supported regions. The product description says it cannot guarantee the correctness of the source data. Transportr is open source and described as having no ads or tracking. It can be useful for planning and following public transport trips, but displayed times and connections should be understood as information from the underlying agencies.
