About Trigger

Trigger is an Android app for controlling compatible doors and smart locks. Users can create multiple door profiles and open or close a door, ring a connected doorbell, or check the door’s state. Profiles can be selected automatically based on the Wi-Fi network the phone is connected to. Supported connection methods include HTTPS, SSH, Bluetooth, and MQTT, and the app also lists support for a Nuki SmartLock. HTTPS connections can use server and client certificates. For SSH, the app can generate ED25519 or RSA key pairs protected by a passphrase. Custom status images and QR-code support are available, and profiles can be backed up. Trigger is a remote-control interface whose operation depends on a compatible door system and its network or Bluetooth setup. The available evidence does not specify which hardware models work with each protocol or how each door’s commands are configured. Because the app can operate access controls, users should verify the selected profile and connection before triggering a door action.
