About TV Remote
TV Remote turns an Android TV device into a local web-based remote control. The app runs an HTTP server on the TV, and another device on the same network can open the remote interface in a browser without installing a controller app. Controls include a directional pad, OK, Back, Home, Menu, volume, mute, power, sleep, channel changes, and a numeric keypad. A keyboard input feature can type into a focused field on the TV, and a voice-assistant action can be launched. The app sends input through the TV’s own ADB service, so root access is not required. It can start automatically at boot and run as a foreground service while the TV is in use. TV Remote requires Android TV or Google TV, developer options, network ADB, and a shared local network between the TV and controller. The connection is local; the product description says no data leaves the network and that it has no accounts, analytics, tracking, or ads.
