About Un Altre Blocador de Trucades
Un Altre Blocador de Trucades is an Android call-blocking app that uses a downloaded caller-number database and a local blacklist to help screen unwanted calls. Users can optionally block numbers with a negative rating automatically, create local rules with wildcard support, and keep contacts from being treated as unknown callers. A notification can show a caller’s rating, review count, and category while the phone is ringing. The main number database is stored offline after download, and optional incremental updates keep it current while using less data than a full replacement. Android 7 and newer support an advanced blocking mode that can block a call before the phone starts ringing, but this mode must be enabled manually. Users can also query detailed online reviews for a caller number through a third-party service. The initial setup requires downloading the database for most functions. Automatic daily database updates are optional. The app uses phone-related permissions to show caller information and apply blocking rules. Its description states that a phone number is sent when detailed online reviews are requested, while other user-identifiable information is not sent. Database updates and review queries depend on external servers, and the detailed review service is not open source. The app is useful for screening calls using both stored ratings and personal rules. Its offline database supports basic operation after download, while online updates and detailed reviews depend on network access and the availability of the associated services.
