About Veto
Veto is an Android client for submitting files, links, or installed apps for analysis by a malware and reputation scanning service. It displays results as a quick summary or a detailed report. Quick mode includes an overall verdict, detection breakdown, threat classification, and key details; detailed mode adds hashes, history, community votes, sandbox behavior, pattern matches, and app internals. Analysis progress is shown while a scan runs, and scans can continue in the background with a notification when results are ready. Reports can be saved and reopened offline. The app explains report sections with short help notes and reports when the user reaches the service’s rate limit. Veto requires the user to provide an API key for the scanning service, and scans are submitted under that account. It has no separate account system, tracking, or ads according to its description. Because files and links are sent for analysis, users should consider the contents before submitting them.
