About WiGLE WiFi Wardriving FOSS
WiGLE WiFi Wardriving FOSS records and maps discovered wireless networks and cell towers. A local database tracks newly found networks, while a real-time map displays discoveries over OpenStreetMap. Users can optionally upload collected data to a shared network database. The app can export records as CSV or KML files for use in other mapping tools. Audio and text-to-speech alerts can announce detections, with a mute control to stop spoken and other sound alerts immediately. Bluetooth GPS receivers are supported through mock locations. The app can also be moved to SD card. WiGLE WiFi Wardriving is a field logging tool for mapping network and cell-tower observations. Uploading data is optional; the app also supports local storage and file export. The supplied description does not detail which network identifiers are recorded or how long local records are retained.
