About Wormhole
Wormhole is an Android client for sending and receiving files through the Magic Wormhole protocol. To send a file, users select it or share it into the app; Wormhole generates a short code made of a number and two words. The recipient enters that code in a compatible client and confirms the transfer before the file is sent. To receive a file, users enter the code provided by the sender. Before beginning the transfer, the app displays the incoming filename and size for confirmation. After the transfer is complete, the recipient can open the directory containing the file. This code-based process connects the sender and receiver without requiring them to exchange a long address manually. Wormhole is open-source software and is still in beta. The product description says its basic send and receive functions are available, while noting that the app is not yet complete. It is intended for transferring files between Android and another compatible Wormhole client.
