About Zorin Connect
Zorin Connect is an Android companion app that links a phone with a computer running Zorin OS 15 with its Connect feature enabled. It can synchronize phone notifications to the computer, browse photos stored on the phone, and reply to SMS messages from the computer. Files and links can be shared between the two devices, and the phone can act as a remote control for the computer. The connection is established over the local network, and the supplied description says it uses RSA encryption. The app is intended to make common phone interactions available while working at the computer, reducing the need to pick up the phone to check an alert, view a photo, or send a reply. File and link sharing also provides a direct bridge between the two devices. The app depends on the companion feature being enabled on a computer running the specified operating system version. Without that computer-side setup, the phone app cannot provide its integration features. Its documented role is limited to connecting a phone and computer on the local network for notifications, messaging, media browsing, sharing, and remote control.
