About AutoPie

AutoPie is an Android automation hub for creating and running Bash commands and Python scripts without using a terminal. It provides a Linux environment with Python and common command-line tools, and lets users install additional packages. Commands can be saved as home-screen applets, added to the Android share sheet, scheduled with cron-style timing, or run automatically when files appear in watched folders. Applet forms can include text fields, switches, selectors, and file inputs, with placeholders for files, URLs, text, filenames, directories, or random values. Scripts can be used for file conversion and organization, downloads, backups, web requests, monitoring, and other repeatable phone tasks. Command output and logs remain accessible in the app. AutoPie requires broad file access for commands to work with shared storage, and requests exemption from battery optimization to support long-running commands and background schedules. It is open source and designed to make command-line automation reusable through a mobile interface.
